The Archaeology Museum, which has been rapidly expanding, adding new collections since it opened on June 13, 1891, consists of three sections: from the Balkans to Africa, from Anatolia and Mesopotamia to the Arabian Peninsula and Afghanistan, and the section housing over a million pieces left from various civilizations under the Ottoman rule. It is highly regarded as one of the world’s largest museums. Visiting hours are between 9.00-19.00 every day, except for Mondays.
